In 2002, "Williams & Kirk Editors, Ltd" and "Sierra Translators, Ltd" merged to give birth to "Sierra Editing and Translating, Ltd." which had inherited both parent companies common focus on services to assist the academic community with the portability of personal and academic documentation, mainly for foreign students in the United Kingdom universities. In July 2018, the company opened to new investors and has since been in the process of strategic transformation to become a Localising and Translating Hub between western European languages based businesses such as English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, and companies and organisations from other continents, aiming to share their business communications contents. We have also adapted our structure to allow us to provide distributed services based in several regions of the world to address this more specific business communitys communication needs through a full proximity linguistic consulting services and solutions. Compliance and Quality have a key role on this strategy, and thus we have launched the project to certify our Quality System, seeking compliance to BS EN ISO 17100:2015 + A1: 2017 - Translation Services Requirements and Localisation Best Practices. We can count on a body of high skilled professionals that together with our processes and technologies are capable of assuring the best response over the entire service chain running from conceptualising, copywriting, localising, translating, editing, proofreading and publishing.
