# Buy and manage phone credits

> 1 phone credit reveals 1 mobile number and is charged only when one is found. Every plan has 5 free a month; add more on the Plans page.

Phone credits pay for mobile numbers: 1 credit per number found. If no number is found, nothing is charged. Every plan, Free included, gets 5 phone credits a month. You can add more as a monthly subscription on the [Plans page](https://app.getprospect.com/settings/subscription/plans), or buy a one-time pack.

## Before you begin

-   Only the workspace admin can buy phone credits.
-   Monthly phone credits come in steps of 300, up to 3,000 a month. For more, use **Contact us** on the Plans page.
-   Prices exclude tax and may change. The Plans page shows current prices.
-   Phone credits are a separate balance. Email credits never pay for mobiles.

## Steps

### Add monthly phone credits

1.  Open **Settings** > **Subscription** and click **Change plan** (or **See plans** on Free).
    
2.  Pick your email plan, then move the **Phone number credits** slider to the amount you need. It shows credits a month and the price.
    
3.  Click **Subscribe**, check the **Checkout** dialog and pay.

Monthly phone credits renew with your plan. On a yearly plan they are still granted every month, not 12 months up front.

### Change or stop monthly phone credits

On **Settings** > **Subscription**, the **Phone number credits** section shows your amount. Click **Change** and move the slider:

-   **More**: you pay the difference today.
-   **Less**: free, and it takes effect at the next renewal. Click **Confirm**.
-   **Stop**: move the slider back to 5. The slider then says "(canceled at renewal)". You keep the current credits until the period ends.

### Buy a one-time pack

1.  On **Settings** > **Subscription**, go to **Extra credits**.
2.  Click **Buy phone numbers**, pick a package and pay.

One-time packs do not expire while your workspace is active, subject to our Terms of Service. They stay when your plan renews, changes or is cancelled.

## FAQ

### Is a phone credit used if no number is found?

No. You pay only when a mobile number is found.

### Can I buy phone credits without a paid email plan?

Yes. **Buy phone numbers** under **Extra credits** works on any plan, Free included.

### The Reveal mobile button showed for a person, but no number came back. Was I charged?

No. A reveal that finds nothing is free.
