Newlyn

Newlyn company description

Newlyn Works Limited is an independent type foundry creating original fonts, custom typefaces and licensing systems for ambitious businesses. Founded by Miles Newlyn, whose type, lettering and logo work has contributed to some of the world’s most visible corporate identities, Newlyn combines high-level typographic design with a simpler approach to professional font licensing. Newlyn’s Universal Licence is designed to remove unnecessary complexity from font use. It gives businesses broad rights across media, supports self-hosted font files, and prices licensing by Business Size rather than fragmented usage metrics such as users, page views, applications or channels. We believe fonts should be easy to buy, easy to deploy and easy to govern. Newlyn works with businesses, agencies and brand teams that need distinctive typography, clear rights and practical licensing for modern brand systems.
