Serving Texans since 1900, Oakwood State Bank was charted in Oakwood, Texas. 116 years later, it had the distinction of being the Smallest Bank in the United States.... Until a group of seasoned and very experienced bankers came together with a business plan to raise capital from investors, acquire the bank in Oakwood, grow that location, while moving the bank headquarters to Dallas, Texas. Raising $39 Million in new capital, the bank was acquired by the newly formed Oakwood Bancshares on April 17th, 2017. And as they say "the fun begins" ...
