Pepkor Speciality

Pepkor Speciality company description

Pepkor Speciality is a collective of distinct retail brands made up of Ayana, CODE, Dunns, Legit, Refinery, Shoe City, SPCC, Style, Swagga, and Tekkie Town—each brand carrying a rich legacy and deep expertise. They are masters at understanding their products, designs, and, most importantly, their unique customers. For the past two decades, the South African retail sector has trended toward mass-market uniformity, prioritising scale over specificity. At Speciality, we believe that specialists are essential to Africa's dynamic retail landscape. Our products must reflect unique trends and identities that empower customers to celebrate their individuality and quality through their choices. We champion this specialist revival by combining the strength of our diverse brands. By consolidating our efforts, we achieve economies of scale in critical areas like the supply chain, IT, and financial systems. This synergy is achieved without compromising the unique identity that defines each brand. It allows us to make expertly curated products accessible at inclusive price points, enabling more customers to afford distinctive fashion. With a footprint of over 1,440 stores across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, and Eswatini, we are strongly positioned for future growth. Our world-class retail operating platform is built for scalability, ensuring we can continue to add exceptional brands to our portfolio and deliver increasing value to both our employees and our customers.
