Quandel Consultants

Quandel Consultants company description

Quandel Consultants isn’t just another transportation engineering firm. We are a dedicated, trusted advisor helping agencies and railroads move rail service forward with purpose, clarity, and results. Headquartered in Chicago, we have grown since 2007 into one of the largest dedicated rail engineering and planning firms in the Midwest, with eight offices and projects across the country. For more than 20 years, we have been immersed in the rail industry. We plan, design, and manage corridors in close collaboration with state DOTs, Amtrak, as well as Class I and shortline freight railroads. Whether it's grant strategy, environmental documentation, service planning, program management, or infrastructure design/construction engineering, our team brings a deep understanding of how to navigate complex rail projects. From intercity corridor planning to grade separation engineering, we’ve built a reputation for being the team that gets things done right. Deep expertise and proven credibility are what set us apart. Our specialty is rail. That focus is our edge. And we have the trust of both public agencies and freight carriers to prove it. At Quandel, every project moves the industry forward. Our role is to bridge the gap between public vision and private rail realities through deep technical expertise, strategic insight, and trusted relationships. As an employee-owned firm, we value accountability, collaboration, and lasting partnerships. We work alongside certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to build inclusive, effective teams that reflect the communities we serve. We are not the biggest firm in the room. But we are the one you want at the table.
