Raymond James Ltd. is the Canadian subsidiary of Raymond James Financial, Inc. Established in 1962, our parent firm made its initial public offering in 1983 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange using the ticker symbol RJF. In 2000, Raymond James Financial, Inc. acquired Goepel McDermid Inc. and renamed the firm Raymond James Ltd. Our predecessor companies have been serving Canadian investors for nearly 80 years. In 2016 Raymond James Ltd. acquired 3Macs (MacDougall, MacDougall & MacTier Inc.), a respected investment firm founded in 1849 before Canada’s Confederation. 3Macs complemented Raymond James Ltd.’s private client business by adding 72 advisors and more than CDN $6 billion of client assets on behalf of individuals and families. The combined firm created Canada’s largest independent investment dealer.
