Robor is the largest tube and pipe manufacturing business in Southern Africa, with a leading position in most of its markets. All our sites are ISO accredited with 9001 and 14000. Robor exports to over 50 countries worldwide. The majority of Robor’s earnings are generated from the manufacture of welded carbon tubing and piping using hot rolled steel. Recently a greater proportion of earnings are generated from divisions focused on related products and services. Robor’s products are used by a wide range of industries including construction, mining, automotive, agricultural, petrochemical, engineering, broad industrial, and general infrastructural projects such as power stations, railways and stadiums. We are Southern Africa’s leading tube and pipe manufacturer and supplier and are also able to source product internationally as and when the opportunities arise. Robor operates the largest general Galvanising facility in the Southern Hemisphere and are the only facility capable of handling the larger steel structures required for the current infrastructure projects. We are capable of processing in excess of 9000 tons of structural steel, tube and pipe in our 4 galvanising lines. Of these 3 are for general steel and one dedicated to tube and pipe. In 2011 Robor acquired a large service centre that stocks and processes a large range of steel products such as sheet and plate, long products and bar and value added services. This enables us to offer our customers a complete basket of steel products. We operate well equipped service centres to provide whatever value added is required by the customer in Tube, Pipe and steel sheet plate and long products. We have a presence in many southern African counties and distribute our products throughout Southern Africa via selected stockists who are able to provide a quality service on the customer’s doorstep. Certain niche products are supplied direct to end users and are also exported worldwide.
