Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is the world’s pre-eminent super-luxury automotive brand. A wholly-owned subsidiary of the BMW Group, it is based at the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood, near Chichester, West Sussex, which comprises its global headquarters and Global Centre of Luxury Manufacturing Excellence – the only place in the world where Rolls-Royce motor cars are designed, engineered and meticulously handcrafted. Production began at Goodwood on 1 January 2003 with Phantom, now in its eighth generation and still the marque’s pinnacle product. The Rolls-Royce product family now also includes: new Ghost; Wraith, a grand tourer; Dawn, an uncompromised drophead; and, ‘the Rolls-Royce of SUV’s’, Cullinan. Since 2016, Black Badge variants have offered a new generation of younger, self-confident customers a darker, subversive incarnation of Wraith, Dawn, Ghost and Cullinan models. The company continues to lead the automotive world in its ability to personalise clients’ motor cars. Almost all Goodwood products now have aesthetic and functional elements individually created and realised through the in-house Bespoke Collective of designers, engineers and craftspeople. The Home of Rolls-Royce employs around 2,000 people, with more than 50 nationalities represented. All members of the Rolls-Royce family live by the words of Sir Henry Royce, the visionary engineer whose genius for improving, finessing and reworking made him and his company household names: ‘Strive for perfection in everything you do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, design it.’ This timeless exhortation inspires greatness in everything we do at Rolls-Royce. It encourages boldness, grants us permission to challenge norms, limits and expectations, and invites us to elevate not only ourselves, but those around us – including inspiring and supporting our clients in their own lives, businesses and personal endeavours.
