The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) was established in 2011 to deliver the historic FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and has since then carried forward Qatar’s rich sporting legacy through the hosting of subsequent major events in the country. Following the Amiri Decision No. (69) of 2024, the SC was re-organised as the State of Qatar's central body for the strategic oversight, coordination and development of the events sector. In this role, the SC aims to build on the hosting expertise of Qatar, setting a long-term, integrated vision that advances national development goals, preserves the talent and knowledge built across the sector, and maintains a legacy that outlasts any single event.
