I didn’t start Sensible Surrogacy as a business plan. I started it because my husband and I were trying to figure out how to build our family, and we quickly realised how difficult it was to find clear, honest information about surrogacy. After our two children were born, I created the Sensible website to share what we had learned and answer the questions I wished someone had answered for us. Fourteen years later, that simple idea has grown into Sensible Surrogacy and the Sensible Surrogacy Guide, helping intended parents understand their options, ask better questions, and make informed decisions. Sensible is built around something I still believe strongly: education should come before a sale. Every program we offer follows ASRM guidelines, regardless of country, and I continue to spend much of my time answering questions from parents who may be years away from starting their families. Sensible Surrogacy was founded by former intended parents and surrogates, not by an industry that saw a market. That perspective still shapes how we work today.
