Showsec company description

With over 45 years of experience, Showsec is a leading name in the UK’s live event security sector. Since 1978, we’ve built a trusted reputation for excellence in crowd management, stewarding, and venue security. Our team of over 5,000 trained professionals delivers reliable, scalable solutions for a wide range of events, from international music tours and major sporting fixtures to royal ceremonies, city-wide celebrations, and cultural festivals. Our portfolio includes some of the UK’s most high-profile events such as the F1 British Grand Prix, London’s New Year’s Eve Celebration, and the UEFA Champions League Final Fan Village. We’re proud to have supported nationally significant moments including Queen Elizabeth II’s Funeral procession and the King’s Coronation, where we delivered large-scale, expertly coordinated crowd safety operations. We’re equally trusted at arena venues, grassroots music spaces, fan zones, and local authority events across the UK. At the core of our service is our team. We operate a dedicated training department offering robust eLearning and specialist courses such as Control Room Operations, Conflict Management, and Pit Safety. Our structured career pathways include supervisory and ILM-accredited management training. Our recruitment process meets BS7858 and BS8406 standards, supported by advanced technology that enables high-volume, compliant onboarding. We also invest in innovation, from a custom-built mobile scheduling app and AI-powered chatbot to an eLearning platform with 50+ interactive courses. Showsec holds the Investors in People Silver Award and SIA Approved Contractor accreditation and ranks in the top 15% of SIA-approved security companies as an ACS Pacesetter.
