TVA Architects

TVA Architects company description

Founded in 1984 in Portland, Oregon, TVA Architects has played a pivotal role in shaping the architectural character of the Pacific Northwest. Our diverse portfolio spans health and wellness, commercial, office, housing, civic, and higher education sectors, serving both public and private clients. In 2019, we proudly became a majority women-owned business, reinforcing our commitment to equity and diversity. For four decades, we have remained dedicated to creating buildings of significance—where significance is measured not only by design excellence but in the creation of work that is meaningful to the people who use our spaces, the clients who bring them to life, and the communities they serve. At TVA, we believe architecture is a service—one that enhances lives, strengthens communities, and meets the evolving needs of clients and occupants. Design influences behavior, and we take responsibility for creating spaces that foster inclusivity and meaningful connections. We relentlessly sweat the small stuff to deliver spaces that function effortlessly, and we find breakthroughs by pushing where others stop, knowing it’s worth working a little harder for something that delivers a positive effect. Knowing that resources are finite, we take our responsibility as stewards seriously, using resources wisely for this and future generations. Above all, we know that nothing great is made alone. By listening to all and acting as one, we embrace diverse perspectives, encourage the cross-pollination of ideas, and drive to innovative solutions that make a lasting impact.
