USBA (Uniformed Services Benefit Association) company description

The Uniformed Services Benefit Association is a not-for-profit association providing a family of insurance and financial products and services to active duty and National Guard and Reserve personnel, Federal employees, Honorably Discharged Veterans and their families with the highest ethical standards of conduct and service. USBA Group Life Insurance policies are underwritten by New York Life Insurance Company. USBA is governed by a Board of Directors elected annually by the membership. The Board is comprised of active and retired military members and Federal employees. Board members typically serve a three year term. To see a list of current Board members, go to www.usba.com. USBA was founded in 1959 to meet the needs of Active Duty military personnel, who at that time had difficulty finding adequate life insurance coverage that would cover combat-related deaths. USBA was one of the first companies to do away with the so-called "war clause" in all of its coverage.
