The Waxman story began over 50 years ago as a synthetic fibre merchanting company. Today Waxman is one of the leading global distributors of a range of technical textile modacrylic fibres produced by Kaneka Corporation of Japan. For over 15 years Waxman has worked closely with our partners to pioneer the development of inherently flame retardant protective workwear based on high performance Protex fibres. Our new Protal range of solutions provides the next generation of enhanced protection, from general workwear to sophisticated flash fire and electric arc garments, capable of passing EU and US standards. Waxman’s unique patented blend of Protex fibre and other technical fibres produces an inherently flame retardant fabric that is strong, extremely durable, yet lightweight, flexible and breathable. Waxman distributes technical fibres to specialist partner producers who manufacture the materials to the highest quality end products available. Our global reseller partners then provide these high technology products to companies such as high profile petrochemical companies in the extreme heat of the Middle East to NATO forces in sub zero climates.
