Since opening its classrooms to students in 1967, LSU Shreveport has become the regional urban comprehensive university in the Shreveport-Bossier metropolitan area. The beautifully landscaped campus is anchored along the picturesque Red River in southeast Shreveport. The university currently has 7,300 students enrolled and boasts an alumni base of 25,000.
