Mineco is a United Kingdom based international company engaged in the natural resources sector. Mineco was established in 2003 and operate in three key areas: commodities trading, base metal mining and the renewable energy generation. This is further enhanced with a broad portfolio of investment activities in other fields. In each area, excellence remains our watchword. This has been the foundation of our growth. ETHICAL APPROACH At the heart of what we do is an ethical approach to the environment and our industrial and commercial growth. Our group currently employs around 2,000 people, while our current projects aim to create a further 1,500 employment opportunities. Our goal is to modernise production processes and facilities in order to meet new ecological standards, and we've brought a refreshing commitment to our local communities. MINECO MINES Base metal mines in Serbia & Bosnia: RUDNIK Located in central Serbia Rudnik, Producing lead (with silver grades), zinc and copper Rudnik processes some 250,000 tpa. GROSS Situated in Eastern Bosnia & Herzegovina with 6.7 million tonnes of reserves and a further 20 million tonnes of resources Gross is Mineco’s biggest mine. Veliki Majdan Located in Western Serbia with production restarted in 2010. Whilst a smaller mine than either Rudnik or Gross, the very high silver grades support continued investment into this operation.
