Established in 1924 under the leadership of Texas community college pioneer Randolph Lee Clark, North Central Texas College is the oldest continuously operating public two-year college in the state. From its roots as a small, rural "junior"β college β an extension of the local public schools actually β NCTC has grown and matured into a comprehensive, full-service community college of truly regional scope, serving students from six major campuses located across its service area. Mission Statement: North Central Texas College is dedicated to student success through institutional excellence. The College District fulfills its mission by offering programs leading to associate degrees and certificates and by providing: University Transfer Education, General Education, Career and Technical Education, Developmental Education, Student Development, Adult and Continuing Education, and Community Education.
