DU'ANYAM IS A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE THAT PRODUCES AND DISTRIBUTES WICKER CRAFTS TO ECONOMICALLY EMPOWER AND IMPROVE HEALTH OF WOMAN IN RURAL INDONESIA. Established in 2014, Du’Anyam started its first project in Larantuka City, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia, one of the poorest province with one of the highest maternal and newborn mortality rate in Indonesia. We see a novel opportunity to address maternal & newborn health issue by tapping into the existing wicker weaving traditions and providing an alternative employment to subsistence farming for pregnant women.
