The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate, The Advocate and The Acadiana Advocate are 7-day newspapers with accompanying newspaper websites for the New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Lafayette metropolitan areas, respectively. The Advocate’s roots date back to 1842 with The Democratic Advocate. In 2019, The Advocate purchased The Times-Picayune, the 183 year-old newspaper in the New Orleans market and NOLA.com, Louisiana’s largest local news website. The combination of NOLA.com and the existing Advocate websites reach 10 million unique visitors each month. We provide a comprehensive daily report of local, national and world news, sports, business, commentary, and entertainment. For all three of our markets, we deliver a traditional, four-section newspaper every day, with weekly entertainment, home, suburban news and business sections.
