The Intertrading Group was established in 2001 to provide new and alternate distribution opportunities to leading global FMCG brands. Within a few years Intertrading opened new channels and customers outside typical mass retailers to multinational FMCG brand owners including Unilever, P&G, Colgate, Nestle and Cuzzons. Through success, expansion and acquisition new product categories and channels were opened including beverage, cosmetic, beauty, health and technology. To better capitalise on opportunity and to provide authentic representation of it brands the business evolved into a group of companies each with their own distinct route to market strategy. Each business unit is responsible of its own sales and marketing but the group leverages its scale to provide shared resources including supply, logistics and finance. Still 100% Australian family owned and operated, the group of companies formalised into The Gateway Group. The founding principles remain the same, we find great brands & products and make them easily available to consumers across Australasia.
