Grampians Excavations Pty Ltd is a well established Stawell-based company with over 22 years experience in the civil construction industry, providing general earthworks and services to a wide variety of customers. Types of civil works and projects carried out include road construction and maintenance, subdivisions, dam construction and cleaning, car parks and other general earthworks. Grampians Excavations is involved in major projects across Victoria and interstate working with clients in the private, government and mining sectors. The company is capable of satisfying a variety of civil work using a number of skilled operators and a modern plant fleet to ensure optimum delivery and quality requirements are met. Grampians Excavations was founded by Jim and Karen Leithhead in the 1990s in Stawell. In July 2018, Civilex acquired the regional company with the Leithhead family retaining a 25% shareholding. Previously known as Grampians Excavations and Soil Yard, the company is now called Grampians Excavations Pty Ltd.
