UEAB was established in 1980 and became the first private university to be chartered by the government of Kenya in 1991. The university has over 30 years experience in running various academic programs at different levels. Her location, in the evergreen part of Nandi county, provides an excellent environment conducive for learning. The University is 50km from Eldoret Town and 9km off the Kapsabet - Kisumu Highway
