Revisionstation is a UK business which writes, publishes and sells complete teaching resource packs for GCSE and A Level business. The teaching packs enable teachers to free up valuable planning time, and to also boost marks by closely following the syllabus. Exciting PowerPoints have a wide range of activities to engage the mixed ability learning group. For example; starters, quizzes, debates, video clips, theory notes, discussions, questions to provoke curiosity, current case studies and sample questions so students can practice the skills they have learnt, or so that homework can be set easily. All resources are written by Sarah Hilton who has taught A Level and GCSE business for nearly 20 years. She is currently a HOD of business at a leading school in Derbyshire and is also a GCSE Business examiner. She attends all the CPD training both online and face-to-face, so teaching packs are always up-to-date. Each resource pack includes a PowerPoint on every topic area and a worksheet to go alongside the PowerPoint so students can follow along with the lesson. This may improve behavior in challenging groups as it keeps the students focused on the lesson material. Small chunked activities ensures there is plenty to keep students concentrating and engaging with the lesson topic. Each pack also comes with a disc and a link so teachers can get to the files the same day. The disc means that the entire course content can be uploaded to a moodle or shared drive for revision. All resources are completely editable so schools can add their own logo or additional content relevant to their context. The worksheets can be printed on A4 double sided or can be printed as A5 booklets. Ideal for students with a folder or for those who want a revision booklet closer to exam time. Revisionstation is a sole trader so if you e-mail the business you will speak to the resource author. Sarah is always happy to answer questions via e-mail but is not available on the phone as she still teaches!
