There are about 37,500 citizens in Vesthimmerland, while in the municipality's 3500 employees and management are divided into four administrative buildings respectively Farsø, Aalestrup, Løgstør and Aars. The municipality's slogan is "The desire to make a difference"​ as the campaign "Vores Hjemmebane"​ is the story of Vesthimmerland from our own citizens.
