GetProspect processes business data under legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and lets anyone remove their data. Whether your own use is lawful depends on how and where you use the data.
What GetProspect does
- Holds business information only: name, job title, employer, location, a professional profile link, a business email and, in some cases, a phone number. No personal email addresses. Phone numbers are obtained from licensed data providers when a customer asks for one.
- Collects profiles from publicly available professional sources and licensed B2B data providers. Business emails are generated from the person's name and their employer's email format, then verified.
- Informs people publicly. Telling each person individually would take disproportionate effort (Article 14(5)(b)), so the required information is published in our privacy policy.
- Removes anyone who asks, through getprospect.com/personal-data or , and keeps them from being added again.
What you are responsible for
When you save or export someone, you become an independent controller of that data. You decide how to contact them and must follow the data protection and email laws that apply to you. These include national e-marketing rules, such as the ePrivacy rules in the EU and PECR in the UK. Some countries require prior consent even for B2B email. In particular, tell the person where you got their data, at the latest in your first message.
This is general information, not legal advice.
